George B. Nashe Memorial Animal Fund

The George B. Nashe Memorial Animal Fund was established in 2019 as a tribute to the memory of a deeply loved man who fought hard but lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on June 4, 2019.

George Byron Nashe dedicated his knowledge and life to animal care and the practice of veterinary medicine. He found his calling in his teen years, when he got a job cleaning stalls at the riding stables in Central Park and from that point on, he knew he wanted to help animals.

From strays to show dogs, pigeons to thoroughbred race horses, kittens to cows, families have sought solace in Dr. Nashe’s care, often seeking treatment miracles. In his 40+ years as a veterinarian, Dr. George Nashe would do everything possible to help an injured soul and never turned away an animal in need for lack of funds.

This memorial fund is dedicated to all those injured, helpless, animals in need of medical care, with no financial means to receive it. It is dedicated to the man who would stop at nothing to help these animals.

Funds from the George B. Nashe Memorial Animal Fund will be used to pay for the care of animals in need.
